If you’re wondering whether or not PUBG has crossplay capabilities or cross-platform progression on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, you’re in the right place.

Over the years, crossplay, cross-platform, and cross-progression implementation has become an important feature for gamers - but it wasn’t much of a feature when PUBG first released in 2017.

PUBG is one of the most popular Battle Royale games around, and is partly responsible for popularising the genre all them years ago. While the game was originally released only on PC, you can now play it anywhere - even on your phone.

So here is all you need to know about whether or not PUBG has cross-platform play and cross-progression.

The simple answer is yes, PUBG does have cross-platform play - and accessing the feature isn't too difficult either. However, it's only available for certain platforms, and there is no way for players from every form of the game to play together currently.

Cross-platform multiplayer can be accessed on the PlayStation and Xbox versions of PUBG, allowing players from both platforms to team up and fight against each other.

This goes the same for the mobile version of PUBG, which allows iOS and Android users to play cross-platform with each other. The console and mobile versions do not intersect though, and finally, the PC version has no crossplay support at all, only allowing other PC users to play together.

This is because the console versions, mobile versions, and PC editions are all on separate servers, restricting any potential crossplay for the foreseeable future.

Enabling crossplay on the console and mobile versions of PUBG is pretty simple, and can all be achieved inside the game - simply search for a player's name using the in-game friends list and 'follow' them.

Once this is done, you can just invite them like you would with someone on your own platform, which will then put you in games with a mix of cross-platform players.

Does PUBG have cross-platform progression?

Sadly, there is no cross-platform progression in PUBG. So if you are thinking of you’re planning on upgrading your PS4 to an Xbox Series X|S, you will lose all of your progress in the game so far.

If you were upgrading your console within the same console brand then you will be able to upgrade to the latest and keep your progress - so PS4 to PS5 will be completely acceptable.

That’s all there is to know about whether or not PUBG has crossplay or cross-platform progression across PlayStation, PC, and Xbox.
